Sony Xperia Z5 Premium

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium smartphone has just been announced at IFA 2015 Berlin conference. This is the flagship device that Sony has in store for us this year, as it is bigger and more expensive than the normal Xperia Z5 model.
The Premium model of Sony Xperia Z comes with a 5.5 inch 4K IPS display, a Snapdragon 810 CPU 64bit 8-core CPU, 3GB RAM, Adreno 430 GPU, 23MP rear camera, 5MP frontal camera, 32GB internal storage, it supports up to 200GB via external microSD card slot, LTE, 3430 mAh battery with STAMINA mode, Quick Charging, and it will run the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium will also support the future Android 6.0 Marshmallow when it will be released by Google. It will also be available in two variants: Nano SIM and Dual SIM for selected markets.
The 5.5 inch screen is an IPS Triluminos mobile display featuring 806 PPI, 4K 3840 x 2160 resolution, Sparkling Contrast, Live Colour Creation and X-Reality for Mobile. The display is protected by a oleophobic coating over a scratch-resistant and waterproof glass.
With the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium and Xperia Z5 normal model you will also get a fingerprint sensor, which is mounted in the power key on the right-hand side of the device. This is a first for Sony, as it seems like the fingerprint sensor will soon become a default feature for all the Android devices.
Sony states that the 3430 mAh battery size should allow you to use your device for up to 48h without charging it. That will most probably be real only on moderate usage and with the Battery STAMINA mode. Feel free to let us know in comments after you get the Xperia Z5 Premium battery life tested.
The Xperia Z5 Premium smartphone is a great device looking at its hardware specs, but its looks are also great. It keeps the Sony design style, it measures 154.4mm x 75.8mm x 7.8mm and it will be available in Black, Chrome and Gold. Tell us in comments what you think about this new smartphone and if you’re planning on purchasing it when it will become available.
